  • Wax Sticks are perhaps the most common way to make Wax Seals, they are easy to get and you can use them in a few different ways.
  • Wax Sticks are easy to blend if you mix pieces of different wax sticks together.
  • Wax Sticks are made with wax which in my opinion is a little tricky to get a perfect stamp result with an even amount of wax around the edge of the seal design.
  • Wax Sticks requires fire to melt, most people use a candle.

No more cutting your fingers with Wax Beads.

  • Wax Beads are just like wax sticks only simpler since they come in small handy sizes ready to melt in a melting spoon.
  • Wax Beads are easy to blend if you mix different colored wax beads together.
  • Wax Beads are made with wax which in my opinion is a little tricky to get a perfect stamp result with an even amount of wax around the edge of the seal design.
  • Wax Sticks requires fire to melt, most people use a candle.

Leftover Wax

No reason to throw out your leftovers. 

  • Leftover Wax are perfect to melt together for some fun multicolored wax seals.
  • Leftover Wax can be added on top of another seal you are making to give it just a touch of some more colors.
  • Leftover Wax gives less predictable results if you have a mix of many different colors.
  • Leftover Wax requires fire to melt, most people use a candle.

    I actually prefer a somewhat irregular circle over one that perfectly round. It brings to mind the historical uses of the wax seal and I find that very charming. Thank you for the very thorough comparisons of the different ways to use wax seals. So helpful!

      I agree with you – most of the time I like imperfections, specially in the world we live in at the moment when everything is seemingly perfect always. However there are times I need it to be close to perfect, and I also know some prefer them to always come out that way.
